Child actor Parth Bhalerao and Amitabh Bachchan's horror comedy film "Bhoothnath Returns" and Punjabi film "Disco Singh" is going strong at the domestic box office.
While, Varun Dhawan's action romantic and comedy entertainer "Main Tera Hero" is approaching the ₹50 crore mark.
Maintaining a strong hold at the box office, "Bhoothnath Returns" minted ₹25.44 crore from five days run. The film is dominating the box office market in several centers, except for Punjab and South India, where regional films are ruling.
After having a very strong Monday, the earnings of the film went down on Tuesday. But since Monday was a holiday in several states, the collection was pretty high.
"#BhoothnathReturns Fri ₹4.07 cr, Sat ₹5.85 cr, Sun ₹8.10 cr, Mon ₹4.40 cr, Tue ₹3.02. Total: ₹25.44 cr nett. India biz. Rock-steady," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The Wednesday and Thursday collection will get affected drastically due to elections and IPL matches.
Meanwhile, the makers of the film have held a success party in Mumbai on Wednesday. The whole cast and crew including Sr. Bachchan and Bhalerao are expected to attend the success bash.
Punjabi film "Disco Singh" is dominating the north circuit, especially in Punjab. The first Monday collection was much better than the opening collection. In four days, the film notched up ₹4.34 crore.
"Punjabi film #DiscoSingh Fri ₹1.4 cr, Sat ₹1.38 cr, Sun ₹1.56 cr. Total: ₹4.34 cr. Phenomenal," Adarsh tweeted.
Dhawan's "Main Tera Hero" had a collection of ₹45.98 crore till its second weekend. The film had performed well on second Monday due to the holiday across the country. Second Tuesday's performance was also good as the film did not lose out to screen count.
The film is nearing the ₹50 crore mark at domestic market and if it remains unaffected by election and IPL matches, then it will cross the mark within second week.
