Akshay Kumar's "Baby" and Sonam Kapoor's "Dolly Ki Doli", which are clashing at the Indian box office, continued to drop in terms of business on Wednesday.
Having witnessed over 65% fall in its business on Tuesday, "Baby" continued to see further drop in its numbers on Wednesday. On its sixth day, the film has minted approximately ₹4.25 crore at the Indian box office.
"Baby" crossed the ₹60 crore mark on Wednesday. The Akshay Kumar starrer has collected ₹60.32 crore nett at the Indian box office in six days. Made on a budget of ₹58.97 crore, the movie has already recovered its production cost and also earned a small amount of profit share.
As per early trends, "Baby" is expected to collect over ₹4 crore nett on Thursday, taking its first week domestic total beyond the mark of ₹65 crore nett. Having topped the domestic business chart in the first week, the movie is expected to do well in the second week and surpass the ₹100 crore mark soon.
Like "Baby", "Dolly Ki Doli" also showed a big drop of more than 65% on Tuesday. Its business went down further on Wednesday. The Sonam Kapoor starrer has raked in approximately ₹1.25 crore nett at the Indian box office on its sixth day. As per early trends, the film is likely to collect more than ₹1 crore on Thursday.
"Dolly Ki Doli", which has been made on budget of ₹25 crore, has ₹18.06 crore nett at the Indian box office and recovered more than 70% of its production cost in six days. Along with "Baby", the Sonam Kapoor starrer is going to have a tough time at the box office as it clashes with new releases "Hawaizaada", "Khamoshiyan" and "Rahasya".
