Jayam Ravi's Adanga Maru has managed to perform better than the other Christmas releases at the Chennai box office in its second weekend. Dhanush's Maari 2, which was at the numero uno position in the opening weekend, has slipped to the third place in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
Adanga Maru has raked in Rs 96.30 lakh from 201 shows in its second weekend, as per Behindwoods. The 10-day total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 2.83 crore. Sivakarthikeyan's Kanaa ranks in the second position with Rs 70.97 lakh from 210 shows to end its second weekend at Rs 1.68 crore.
Dhanush's Maari 2, which grossed Rs 1.28 crore in the opening weekend, has earned Rs 61.09 lakh from 177 shows. The 10-day total collection of the flick now stands at Rs 2.79 crore.
Ranveer Singh's Bollywood movie Simmba has collected Rs 37.30 lakh from 90 shows, which is considered as an above-average opening. Interestingly, KGF, which had collected Rs 6.58 lakh from 24 shows, has performed better in its second weekend by earning Rs 20.77 lakh from 87 shows. The total collection of the flick stands at Rs 42.09 lakh.
Rajinikanth's 2.0 entered its fifth weekend by collecting Rs 16.87 lakh from 60 shows to take its total tally to Rs 23.38 crore. Hollywood movie Aquaman has raked in Rs 13.71 lakh from 36 shows to take its total tally to Rs 2.20 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan's Zero has collected Rs 9.78 lakh from 45 shows to take its total tally to Rs 65.98 lakh in 10 days. Silukkuvarupatti Singam has earned Rs 9.23 lakh from 45 shows to take its total tally to Rs 57.33 lakh.
Meanwhile, the collection of Vijay Sethupathi's Seethakaathi has witnessed a massive drop in its business in the second weekend as it just collected Rs 5.17 lakh from 33 shows. The total collection of the flick stands at Rs 1.30 crore in Chennai.
