Silambarasan's Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and latest movie Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru have ruled the Chennai box office last weekend. Both the movies have made good collections despite the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

The total collection of the movie in the capital city of Tamil Nadu stands at Rs 4.54 crore. In the first weekend, the Simbu-starrer had raked in Rs 2.05 from 495 shows. The comedy factor was the driving force behind its success. But it has to be seen how it will perform in the days to come, given the mixed reviews from the viewers.
