Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" continues to entertain films buffs overseas.
The romantic film is dominating over all the new releases in the international market.
The overseas total of Ayan Mukherji's directorial film after the third weekend stands at approximately ₹50.83 crore ($ 8.8 million).
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" continues to the first choice of moviegoers despite the release of three new films.
After the third weekend, the film raked in a total of ₹19.69 crore ($ 33, 94,010) from the US circuits, ₹8.66 crore (£ 9, 58,471) from the UK, ₹11.64 crore (AED 74, 00,000) from UAE and GCC circuits, ₹3.32 crore (A$ 6, 00,103) from Australia and ₹43.76 lakh (NZ$ 94,196) from New Zealand.
Meanwhile, "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2" that was released on 7 June worldwide has bombed at the overseas box office. The film starring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol turned out to be a major flop there.
After the second weekend, the film raked in approximately ₹2.75 crore from the UK, Australia and New Zealand box offices. The business of the film was slightly better in the UK market, while in the rest of the circuits it was below the mark.
'YPD2" made ₹1.61 crore after the second weekend in the UK, ₹70.16 lakh in Australia and ₹43.76 lakh in New Zealand. (Note: the US, UAE and Fiji figures are not compiled).
The Deol production directed by Sangeeth Sivan had performed below the mark from the first day of its release. The action comedy got eclipsed by "YJHD" at major markets because of which the collections were dull.
