Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone is riding high on the the success of her films this year.
The pretty actress had four releases this year -"Race 2", "Chennai" Express" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" ("YJHD") and "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela."
She did a variety of roles in each of these films; be it the sexy Alina Malik in "Race 2", nerdy Naina in "YJHD", South Indian Meenamma in "Chennai Express" and a Gujarati girl in "Ram-leela", Deepika has one won accolades for her performances from all quarters.
Her first three releases have already been declared blockbusters. Latest release "Ram-leela" is also receiving fantastic response at the Indian as well as overseas box office.

Opening Day
The romantic drama earned ₹16 crore on the first day of its release. The film became the fifth biggest opening day grosser of 2013 pushing "Race 2" to the sixth spot. The action thriller earned ₹15.12 crore on its debut day.
However, Deepika's other two releases - "Chennai Express" and "YJHD" - have made better collections than "Ram-leela".
Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Chennai Express" still holds the record for the highest opening day grosser in India, earning ₹33.12 crore. On the other hand, "YJHD" raked in ₹19.45 crore on its first day of release.
Opening Weekend
"Ram-leela" did great business in its first weekend thanks to positive feedback from critics and audience alike. The film crossed the ₹50-crore mark in its opening weekend and minted ₹52.75 crore. It surpassed "Race 2" first weekend collections which stand at ₹51.35 crore.
But the opening weekend collections of "YJHD" and "Chennai Express" are way ahead of "Ram-leela". The Ranbir starrer earned ₹62.11 crore in its opening weekend, whereas "Chennai Express" surpassed the ₹100-crore mark by collecting ₹100.42 crore.
First Week
"Ram-leela" will definitely cross "Race 2" first week collections which stand at ₹76.1 crore. The romantic film has earned ₹69.20 crore in five days at the box office. Its performance has been really good even in weekdays. If the film progresses at the current pace, it is likely to surpass "Race 2" first week collections by the end of its debut week.
However, the first week collections of "Ram-leela" will not surpass the week one figures of "YJHD" and "Chennai Express" which amount to ₹107.61 crore and ₹156.70 crore, respectively.
100 crore club
"Chennai Express" took only four days to cross the ₹100-crore mark at the Indian box office, whereas "YJHD" needed seven days to achieve the same. "Race 2" took 63 days to reach ₹100 crore.
"Ram-leela" is yet to enter the elite club, but it is expected to happen soon. The film will once again beat "Race 2" to the ₹100-crore mark as it likely to achieve the feat in a shorter period.
