The collections of Ranveer-Sonakshi Sinha's "Lootera" have declined in the second weekend in the overseas markets.
"Lootera", which opened to a dull note, minted around ₹4.64 crore from international markets in the first three days of its release. The film's collections declined considerably in the second weekend owing to new releases.
The romantic drama made ₹1.04 crore from UK and Ireland markets, whereas it raked in ₹3.30 crore from North America (US and Canada) markets. At the Australia box office, the film fetched ₹35.75 lakh and it made ₹9.15 lakh from the New Zealand box office.
The overall overseas collections are now pegged at around ₹5 crore. [Note: The number of screens varies from one place to the other]. Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar's latest release "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" had fared better than "Lootera". The sports drama raked in over ₹8 crore in its first weekend itself.
"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" grossed more than "Lootera" at the domestic box office as well. The Ranveer starrer just made about ₹21 crore in Indian markets during the first four days of its release, whereas Farhan's film has fetched more than ₹38 crore in four days.
Punjabi film "Jatt & Juliet - 2"
"Jatt & Juliet - 2" is continuing its victory march at the overseas box office.
UK and Ireland box office: "JATT & JULIET-2 [Punjabi]: In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 9,854 on 6 screens. Total: £ 1,78,243 [Rs. 1.61 crores]," according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Australia box office: "JATT & JULIET-2 [Punjabi]: In its third weekend, the film has collected A$ 3,840 on 20 screens. Total: A$ 4,75,315 [Rs. 2.59 crores]".
The romantic-comedy film, which received massive response from India as well as overseas markets, has been declared "All Time Blockbuster".
