The collections of Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" (AD) have dropped on its 27th day due to rains.
Rains have continued to hit the state of Andhra Pradesh, which has affected the revenues of Telugu films. "AD" collections declined on Monday (21 October), but picked up again on Tuesday earning approximately ₹25 lakh to ₹30 lakh share from AP.
However, the film's collections significantly dropped again yesterday (23 October). According to AndhraBoxOffice (ABO), the Pawan Kalyan starrer is estimated to have minted approximately ₹12 lakh AP share on the 27th day. The film's total worldwide share is close to ₹71 crore and it is on the verge of becoming the new industry hit soon.
"AD" has already broken several records in India as well as overseas markets. Even after completing 25 days, the film is still doing decent business at the box office. It remains to be seen how the family entertainer fares once Nagarjuna's "Bhai" hits the screens worldwide on Friday (25 October).
Interestingly, the makers of "AD" have decided to add a few scenes to the film from the fifth week. According to ABO, approximately nine to ten minutes of extra scenes (mostly comedy) will be added to the film from 26 October, a day after the release of Nagarjuna's film.
With the inclusion of new scenes, the film's total length will be close to 3 hours. The additional scenes might bring repeat audience to theatres, which would help the film to collect more revenues.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, "AD" has Pawan Kalyan, Samantha, Pranitha, Nadiya, Boman Irani, Brahmanandam and Rao Ramesh in supporting roles.
The success of "AD" has proved that Pawan is the undisputable king of box office. In the past few days the actor has been in the news not just for "AD" success, but also for his rumored entry into the world of politics. Speculations were rife that Pawan will be joining the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the coming days.
But the actor's brother Naga Babu has denied those reports saying that they don't have plans to join politics and are busy in their filmy career.
