The much-delayed "Vaalu," starring Simbu and Hansika Motwani, is gearing up for release.
The film, which has been lying in the cans for the last few years, is finally ready to hit the screens. Only the climax song in which Simbu will be appearing in three different looks (MGR, Rajini and Ajith) remains to be shot, according to reports.
Simbu has confirmed on his Twitter handle that "Vaalu" release date will be announced soon.

According to a Times of India report, "Vaalu" is likely to hit theatres on 15 August.
If the film releases for Independence Day, then it will clash with Suriya's "Anjaan," which will be hitting the screens on the same day.
The shooting of "Anjaan," directed by Lingusamy, is expected to be wrapped up soon. Once the shooting is done, the post production work will begin in full swing.
Expectations are huge for the film as Suriya has teamed up with director Lingusamy for the first time. The film, touted to be an action-packed entertainer, will have Suriya in dual roles.
The film's first look posters have created positive response from fans and they are waiting for the teaser to be released. The teaser was expected to be out on 12 June, but apparently there has been a delay as the makers are planning to add a few shots from a song that is currently being shot in Goa.
"Anjaan" is releasing more than a year after Suriya's last film "Singam 2" hit the screens. The Lingusamy directorial was expected to have a solo release on 15 August, but it appears that the film will have to lock horns with Simbu's "Vaalu." However, the clash between "Anjaan" and "Vaalu" is just a speculation as the makers of Simbu's film are yet to officially announce the release date.
