Recently released Tamil film "Goli Soda" has received positive response from the audience.
"Goli Soda" hit the screens on 24 January along with a few other Tamil films. The film opened to 50-60 percent theatre occupancy on the first day. Positive word of mouth gave a boost to the film's business on the second day at the box office.
The film witnessed significant increase in theatre occupancy by Sunday (26 January).
More than 40 screens have been reportedly added from Saturday to accommodate "Goli Soda" in theatres. The film is doing well in both multiplexes and single screens. It minted double the collections on the second day, according to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai. He also said that the small budget flick might turn profitable from theatricals alone by the end of the first week.
"Goli Soda" is about four teens who take on a powerful man (and his henchmen) to get back their identity. The film, starring the "Pasanga" team including Kishore, Sreeram, Pandi and Murugesh, received fantastic reviews from critics and is also getting good reception from the audience.
Dialogues by Pandiraj, direction by Vijay Milton and performances by the main actors in the film have won accolades from all quarters. Despite facing competition from new films as well as past releases such as "Jilla" and "Veeram", "Goli Soda" has managed to do well at the box office. The film is turning out to be a big hit in Tamil Nadu.
Vijay Milton is happy with the overwhelming response that his film is receiving. The director is reportedly planning to make a sequel to "Goli Soda", which is expected to go on floors in a few months.
