Gearbox Software's Borderlands 2 gets its new downloadable content (DLC), Headhunter 1: TK Baha's Bloody Harvest, which was announced in July.
The DLC has been been timed for a Halloween launch for PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This is the first of the 'Headhunter Packs' that will see the return of T.K. Baha from the original Borderlands.
Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, had earlier said that the studio is hoping to make "two or three" Headhunter Packs. The Headhunter Packs comes after the release of Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, which was the last and final expansion pack for Season Pass holders.
The Headhunter packs will be offering players additional adventures that will see them go to various missions in newer locations. Players will be taking on new bosses and will have to defeat them which will be the prize, said Gearbox Studios on its official website.
"In TK Baha's Bloody Harvest, you'll be tasked by the eponymous zombified corpse to discover the pieces of a key that will lead you into the heart of the Pumpkin Kingpin's pumpkin patch (try saying that 3 times), where you will confront the Kingpin himself in an epic battle to claim his giant pumpkin head as your own," it said.
"Oh yeah, and there's augmented candy all over the place. As you make your way through TK Baha's Bloody Harvest, candies will drop from enemies and provide all sorts of temporary buffs, ranging from faster movement speed to increased damage and more, so be sure to pay attention to them!"
TK Baha's Bloody Harvest DLC will be available for $2.99 and can be finished in a single sitting. None of the Headhunter Packs will be part of the Season Pass.
2K Games, the publisher, have also released Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
