Boom Beach, one of the popular mobile strategy video games from Supercell, has received a new update - Dr.T's 'Mega Crab' event. Earlier, Supercell had teased this event calling it a 15 January surprise. This is a seven day event.
This event is playable only to those who have reached Headquarters Level 7 and above. This is Dr.T's (earlier called Dr.Terror) newest project to take over the archipelago, where we see a robotic mega base called Mega Crab, spring up to the surface near player's homebase.
Mega Crab event will have "infinite number of stages to beat and increasing in difficulty" as player's progress. A maximum of seven attacks can be stored. There is no upper limit in the number of stages that players can beat in this event. Lesser the attacks used in the particular stage, faster will the player proceed to the next one.
If the players manage to beat the stage, they will be getting one extra attack, and in case the player has used the extra one attack, they need to wait for three hours to gain a new one.
This event will give players an easy way to earn massive resources, the rewards for each stage is mentioned in the pop up that is seen when the player clicks on the Mega Crab icon.
The player can also check with the High Scores from people from the local-time zone and can also check how their friends have fared.
Supercell has given some tips to do well in the event. It has said that players will need to "reinforce the strategically chosen troops and must boost statues," if they need to have a better chance in beating the stages.
Similar to other base attacks, apart from the normal stage reward, players will also be earning power stones, intel and so on.
