Ranbir Kapoor is known for speaking his mind. Low on pretence, the "Roy" actor has often gotten on the wrong foot with the media over unnecessary speculations regarding his personal life, read love life. A few days ago, the actor left a press conference midway on being quizzed about his alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
Meanwhile, after much delay, the makers of "Bombay Velvet" are finally ready to present their work of art to the audience. And before the team could kick-start its promotional spree, RK apparently put forth a handful of conditions.
Apart from making it clear that he wouldn't attend press conferences, the charming actor apparently said he will not take up personal questions.
"He has made it clear to his makers of BV in no uncertain terms, that he will only give a handful of interviews. In fact, he wants strict instructions to be given to all media people attending the events to steer clear of personal questions, lest the focus shifts from the film," DNA quoted an insider as saying.
So clearly, the media-shy actor doesn't appreciate being questioned about Katrina, his alleged ladylove with whom he reportedly moved in a few months ago. However, since none of the parties concerned have confirmed on the news, it can only be counted as a speculation.
However, this resolve has left director Anurag Kashyap worried as Ranbir's absence might affect the film in a major way. What's working him up even more is that the actor is around on radar only when his films are slated for release. At other times, he prefers to remain away from the prying eyes of the media.
On the contrary, Katrina hasn't been dodging questions about rumoured beau RK. At the recently concluded India Today conclave, she praised Ranbir's approach towards films. "He is a supremely talented actor, naturally gifted. Both Salman and Ranbir are different as they have very different techniques and approaches are different," India Today quoted her as saying.
Slated for a 15 May release, the film also stars Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar.
