After the first look of Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet" starring Ranbir Kapoor was released on Wednesday, the makers went on the unveil the film's first poster on Thursday.
The poster features Kapoor as Johnny Balraj, the character he plays in the film.
"Bombay Velvet" is based on famous book "Mumbai Fables" and is set in 1960s. The film narrates the story of a street fighter (played by Kapoor) and the transformation of the city to becoming one of the biggest metropolis of the country.
While, the first look saw Kapoor in a fighting cage with his back facing the cameras, the poster features the actor in a suit and messy hairdo. The actor looks deadly armed with two machine guns.
Anushka Sharma plays the lead opposite the "Barfi" star. The "PK" actress will be seen as a 1960s jazz singer, Rosie, in the film.
The film marks the acting debut of filmmaker Karan Johar in a negative role.
Produced by fox star studios, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane, "Bombay Velvet" is slated to hit theatres on 15 May.
