Bollywood Snippets: From Abhishek Bachchan's Birthday to Raj Kanwar's Last Rites

The big news for the day is that actor Abhishek Bachchan turns 36 on Sunday. He has, of course, been warmly wished by many of the industry's big-names.

The other hot piece of news is the wedding reception for Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. The couple was married on Feb. 3 and the reception will be held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.

Abhishek Bachchan's Birthday

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan turns 36 on Sunday. Several leading actors and actresses, including his co-actor in the recently released film "Players" - Sonam Kapoor - lined up to wish him on Twitter.

"Happy birthday @juniorbachchan!!! You by far the nicest coolest person I know... !!", tweeted Sonam. Others wishing him included Tusshar Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu.

However, the actor has said he was looking to keep a low profile on the occasion and celebrate it with his family.

Item Song for Amy Jackson and Angela Johnsson

The buzz around Bollywood is that British model Amy Jackson and Icelandic-Indian model Angela Jonsson are all set to sway to the tunes of an item song, in Irrfan Khan's forthcoming "Paan Singh Tomar". Amy Jackson was recently seen in Gautham Memon's "Ekk Deewana Tha", opposite Prateik Babbar.

After their wedding on Friday, Bollywood celebrity couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza will host a reception at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, on Sunday.

The last rites for Bollywood filmmaker Raj Kanwar were performed in Mumbai's Santa Cruz area, on Sunday. His family and a few celebrities came to bid him a final farewell at the Oshiwara cremation ground.
