Bollywood likes to experiment and making new on-screen pairings is one of those improvisations. Likewise, several 'jodis' were made and appreciated. But few of them failed to live up to the expectations.
Here are some of the new on-screen pairings which failed at the box-office.
Arjun – Sonakshi
Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha's latest film "Tevar" didn't do as well as expected. According to reviews, Kapoor did a good job as an angry young man but Sonakshi's 'tevar' was not that attractive. Thus the pair failed to jell together.
Kareena – Imran
After watching "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu", the audience expected Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan starrer "Gori Tere Pyaar Main" to be worth a watch. But it didn't turn out that way and the two were unable to make a mark together.
Ranveer – Parineeti
Surprisingly, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra's "Kill Dil" failed at the box office. Though the latter managed to give a fair account of herself in the film, Ranveer's pairing with Parineeti didn't go down well with the viewers.
Saif – Ileana
Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D'Cruz are trying hard to get their career graph on track. Even their film "Happy Ending" didn't end happily in box office for either of them. Neither their on-screen chemistry nor the film worked.
Aditya – Parineeti
A lot of buzz did the rounds when the Yash Raj venture decided to bring a fresh pairing with the film "Daawat-E-Ishq." Even viewers expected Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra to work wonders on the big screen. But it was not to be.
Kangana – Vir Das
After the super success of "Queen", Kangana's next project "Revolver Rani" failed to be a crowd puller. The chemistry of Ranaut and Das in the film was supposedly made different and interesting but that it failed to connect with the viewers.
