Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapur will be hosting the 14th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) at Macau, China, on 6 July.
This is the second time that the IIFA awards ceremony will take place in Macau after 2009. SRK, who hosted the event in 2005, is returning to the stage this year. He will be joined by co-actor Shahid Kapur.
The IIFA is going to be a spectacular event with popular stars from Bollywood performing at the ceremony. Celebrities including Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit will groove to some of the popular songs.
For the first time, veteran actress Sridevi will be seen performing with dance choreographer-cum-director Prabhudeva in a dance-off, according to IIFA.
This year's IIFA will focus on 100 years of Indian Cinema. A host of prominent personalities from the Indian film industry, including Irrfan Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Rampal, Shardha Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Jacqueline Fernandez and Shabana Azmi, will grace the prestigious awards ceremony.
The nominations for the IIFA were announced in April. Ranbir Kapoor's "Barfi", a film about a deaf and mute boy and an autistic girl, leads the pack with 13 nods followed by Ayushmann Khurrana's "Vicky Donor" which garnered nine nominations. Some of the other popular films that have bagged nominations include "Agneepath", "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", "Cocktail", "Kahaani", "Paan Singh Tomar" and "Gangs of Wasseypur."
SRK, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir, Ayushman, Manoj Bajpayee and Irrfan Khan have been nominated for the best performance in a leading role (male) category.
Sridevi, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Huma Qureshi will compete in the best performance in a leading role (female) category. To check the entire nomination list, click here.
