Gone are the days when Bollywood actresses used to be mere glamour quotient of films, as several gorgeous divas of the tinsel town have proved their worth by giving solo hits. And a recent trend suggests that talented actresses of Indian film industry are now adding more feathers to their hat, one of which is taking up the singing domain.
After Priyanka Chopra made her singing debut with the international album "In My City", several other Bollywood actresses have lent their voice in their films and on stage. Actresses like Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha have surprised their fans with their voice.
Shraddha made her debut as a singer by singing songs for the movie "Ek Villain", followed by songs for "Haider" and her latest release "ABCD 2". Her voice has been liked by all her fans, which is evident from the fact that her version of songs gave tough competition to the original versions, as far as views and likes are considered. The actress will reportedly lend her voice to songs in her upcoming movie "Rock On 2" as well.
Another young actress who has proved her prowess as a singer is Alia Bhatt. The song "Samjhawan" from the movie "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" was a chartbuster and the unplugged version of the same track, sung by Alia, was equally liked by all.
And most recently, Sonakshi Sinha also surprised all by singing a song at the IIFA 2015 and she did receive a lot of appreciation for the same. Meanwhile, two other actresses, Kriti Sanon and Parineeti Chopra, also expressed interest to try their voice in mainstream and fans can expect to listen to their singing anytime soon.
