Veteran Bollywood and television actress Reema Lagoo passed away in the wee hours of Thursday, May 18. She was 59 years old.
As per reports, Reema suffered cardiac arrest and breathed her last at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
During her acting career spanning several decades, Reema worked with several Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. She is best known as the on-screen mother of lead actors in several blockbuster films, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Vaastav and Maine Pyar Kiya.
She was also popular in the television industry and was a part of hits shows like Tu Tu Main Main, Shriman Shrimati and Marathi serial Tuza Maza Jamena. Reema was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt's ongoing serial Naamkaran.
