Bollywood blockbuster "Bol Bachchan" has finally crossed the ₹1 billion mark at the box office making it another successful film of the year.
The romantic comedy is Abhishek Bachchan's first movie to join the elite billion dollar league, with director Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgan hitting a hatrick at the box office.
The film's cast now wants to celebrate the success of the movie with a grand party.
However, the celebration was put on hold, as Amitabh Bachchan who is presently in London, has asked Ajay and Abhishek to wait until he gets back to India.
Amitabh Bachchan is currently in London for the 2012 Olympics event and will be back in to the homeland on Aug 5. The actor apparently sent a message to Ajay and Abhishek, saying that he wants to be a part of the celebrations and that they should wait for him to return, The Times of India reported.
The daily also reported that since Big B carried the iconic 2012 Olympic torch in London on July 26, the actors are hoping to throw twin celebrations in honour of the Bollywood megastar.
Although, Amitabh Bachchan has not acted in the film, he performed an item number based on the movie's title "Bol Bachchan".
Meanwhile, talking about the film, director Rohit Shetty felt that he is blessed by his success story."There is so much talent around, great directors I look up to. I'm lucky that I have a fantastic team working with me on these family entertainers that may not woo the critics, but seem to find favor with the common man. I'm prepared for the one star reviews now as long as I can say 'Bol hit'," Hindustan Times quoted Rohit Shetty as saying.
