BMW India has, without much fanfare, updated the India line-up with further additions and withdrawals of some variants. The company has brought in the M-performance 7-series at Rs. 2.27 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) while discontinuing the 320i from its 3 Series fleet. The variant has been replaced with two petrol versions.
BMW M760Li xDrive
This is the most powerful 7 Series on sale in India now. Dubbed as M760Li xDrive, the new addition to the 7 Series, come powered by a 6.6-litre V12 petrol engine, tune to churn out 610hp of power and 800 Nm of torque while mated to BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. The model can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.7 seconds and attain an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. The M760Li xDrive is available in two variants – the standard M760Li and the M760Li V12 Excellence. Both models get the same price tag of Rs. 2.27 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
BMW 3 Series 330i
BMW India has also added two new variants to its 3 Series lineup-- the 330i Sports Line and the 330i M Sports edition. While the former has been priced at Rs. 42.40 lakh, the latter will set you back at Rs. 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new 330i petrol variants come powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine that can generate 248bhp at 5,200rpm and 350Nm of torque at 1,450-4,800 rpm. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and offers four driving modes: Comfort, ECOPRO, Sport and Sport+.
