Globally renowned business news outlet Bloomberg has joined hands with Twitter, to stream 24x7 live TV programmes on the social media platform.
The confirmation on the new partnership is was announced at a press meet hosted by Michael Bloomberg, company founder and Jack Dorsey, CEO, Twitter on Monday (May 1).

Twitter has been streaming events including sporting events (NFL: National Football League) and also presidential debates for a quite some time, but it was limited to a few hours. Now, it will offer full fledged live TV service round-the-clock.
The company is yet to come up with a name for the new Twitter TV channel, but it has confirmed to go live this fall. The content streamed on its platform will not be the re-broadcasted content from the existing Bloomberg news studio, but will live stream new contents from numerous Bloomberg outlets across the world. It would also offer user-generated breaking news video from citizens, curated and verified by Bloomberg editors, along with live video and reporting from Bloomberg journalists around the world.
"This is a great opportunity to extend our global news gathering capabilities to Twitter's 328 million monthly users," Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait said in a statement.
"Combining the journalism, data and editorial rigor of Bloomberg with the social content of Twitter will enable us to cover the world in a very new and exciting way," Micklethwait added.
It is widely be reported that Twitter is in talks with several other news service agencies for live streaming content on its social media platforms.
