Anything related to Bloodborne makes news, as far as the gaming industry is concerned. It hasn't been long since the game made its official debut on the PS4, and already the web is flooded with details and help guides that are still leaking out for the game even at this point of time.

Bloodborne will still require some time before it can finally experience a sort of heyday for the title, but it must be said that the game has indeed started out in the right direction. We see a bright future for the game that otherwise is a testament to the very dark H.P. Lovecraft.

Nonetheless, there are still a lot of details yet to be revealed. There are a number of new players to the game, we know, who are still waiting to understand the game. And this guide aims at assisting players on building their characters and understanding the six different stat counts.

There are six different stats in Bloodborne to take note of:

  • Endurance: Endurance determines the player's stamina and offers more resistance than usual. Note that Endurance is hardcapped at 40, so your maximum stamina should be at 160.
  • Skill: Skill offers you more damage when you make use of skill weapons. Note that Skill softcaps at 25 and hardcaps at 50.
  • Vitality: Vitality is equivalent to the total number of hit points. It is softcapped at 30 and hardcapped at 50. You will require at least 30 HP, although for most of the game, you are likely to have around 30 to 50 Vitality points. Note that you won't get more than 50 Vitality even if you have earned enough points.
  • Strength: Strength determines your attack power. The softcap for Strength stands at 25, while the hardcap for it is at 50.
  • Arcane: Arcane determines scaling for a host of in-game items, particularly arcane items. Arcane softcaps at 25 and hardcaps at 50.
  • Bloodtinge: This determines scaling for weapons that use bloodtinge, such as guns. Bloodtinge softcaps at 25 and hardcaps at 50.

Here are the Build Stats that should help you start off in the game. However, note that these are all based on the military veteran, since this is the class that has the lowest arcane (you won't need them for the following weapon builds).
