Though Season 4 of NBC's crime-thriller series "The Blacklist" is yet to get a premiere date, fans are eagerly looking forward to finding out whether Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) finally confront each other in the upcoming season.
Several speculations state that Liz and Red are still alive. According to Ecumenical News, Red will be upset that Liz kept her escape a secret from him and was assisted by a very good friend of Red's. Red was disturbed when he came to know Liz trusted his friend more than him.
In the Season 3 finale, Red was shattered when he found about Liz's death. However, when he found out that Liz had just staged it all and had been in hiding for a long time, it infuriated him.
As reported by Parent Herald, the next season will be a roller-coaster ride of emotions and sentiments as Red and Liz will finally meet each other after a long time. The storyline of the series revolved mostly around the these two in the previous seasons, and it seems they will be crossing paths again in Season 4.
Talking with Entertainment Weekly about the fourth season of the show, series creator Jon Bokenkamp said Red's partial truths would significantly affect his rendezvous with Liz and whether Liz will get the answers to the questions she has been waiting for so long to ask from Red.
"Oh, that is still a big question to her. That's still something that she will want answers to. She's also resigned to the fact that there's only so much that [Red] is going to tell her; he withholds information, he tells partial truths," Bokenkamp said.
"The Blacklist" Season 4 is expected to premiere in the second half of 2016.
