Blackberry Z30 Smartphone Available for ₹29,990 under Exchange Offer

Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry is offering heavy discounts of up to ₹5,000 in India in exchange of old smartphones.

The offer will be available for period of 60 days starting from Friday (20 June) and the company will retail its Z30 smartphone at a price point of ₹29,990 (a minimum cash back of ₹ 5,000) . The offer will run across all BlackBerry retail networks in the country. The BlackBerry Z30, a 5-inch smartphone was originally launched with a price tag of ₹39,990 in October. Giants like Apple and Samsung is also running similar offers in India.

"We have seen a phenomenal response to our initial promotional offer on BlackBerry Z10 and are confident that we will see similar take off on the upgrade offer on Z30," Times of India quoted BlackBerry India director (distribution) Sameer Bhatia .

Earlier in March, BlackBerry had announced a heavy price cut for its Z10 touchscreen model in India, after which the phone ran out of stock. The Z10 smartphone received 60 percent discount on the price, taking the cost of the smartphone to ₹17,990, against the launch price of ₹ 43,990. The discounts has helped the company clear the stock in the country. However, this is the first time Canadian smartphone maker is offering exchange scheme in the country.

To recapitulate, the BlackBerry Z30 sports 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. Other features of the phone include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage with expandable option(64GB), BB 10.2 version OS, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 2880mAh battery.
