BlackBerry Z10 was launched in India on 25 February by Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor at an event organized in Mumbai. Major telecom companies like Tata DoCoMo, Idea Cellular and Aircel have announced special offers on purchase of the smartphone.
Tata DoCoMo has come up with the a special 'Unlimited 899' offer which includes unlimited mobile internet and local calls on any mobile or fixed-line network across India for a monthly rental of ₹899.
Gurinder Singh Sandhu, Head-Marketing, Tata DoCoMo said, "We are delighted that we are partnering with BlackBerry to bring world's latest smartphones like the BlackBerry Z10 to India. We look forward to providing our customers a better experience and services along with BlackBerry smartphones on our networks," TelecomTALK reported.
Sunil Dutt, Managing Director for India at BlackBerry said, "We are pleased to work with Tata DoCoMo to bring customers in India the powerful new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. Backed by Tata DoCoMo's network and service plans, BlackBerry Z10 customers will be delighted with a re-invented communication experience, seamless multitasking, and easy access to multiple social networks."
Aircel also announced special plans which include integrated service bundle of data (1GB data), voice (250 minutes Aircel to Aircel / month) and SMS (250 Aircel to Aircel / month) for three months at a recharge of ₹153.
Anupam Vasudev, chief marketing officer of Aircel said, "There is an inherent growth in Internet consumption due to the high level of penetration of smartphones and we are happy to offer exciting usage plans to compliment the new BlackBerry Z10," Telecom Tiger reported.
Idea cellular has not revealed the details of its own plan but promised to give exciting 3G offers for its customers.
BlackBerry Z10 will be available in Indian Markets for ₹43,490.
