After the launch of its touch-screen BlackBerry Z10 in February, the Canadian smartphone maker is all set to release its second BlackBerry 10 device - Q10, into the lucrative Indian market.
"BlackBerry Q10 is coming to India soon. Stay tuned on our page for all the latest updates!" tweeted BlackBerry India, along with the link to its official website showcasing the QWERTY smartphone's pictures and features.
However, the company is still tight-lipped about the smartphone's price and actual date of availability.
Before the company could officially announce the smartphone's launch, one popular online shopping portal Snapdeal has opened the pre-order window of BlackBerry Q10 on its website for a payment of ₹1000 as advance.
News media IBN Live citing sources revealed that BlackBerry is finalizing plans to launch Q10 in India before 15 June.
The company has already rolled out Q10 in UK and in its home market Canada and both markets have responded very well to the new QWERTY BlackBerry. Most stores are running out of stock within a few days of the smartphone's release.
BlackBerry Q10 sports a 3.1-inch HD 328 ppi (pixels per inch) display with QWERTY keypad and it runs on the BlackBerry 10 OS powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor. It packs 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
