Canadian telecommunication major BlackBerry launched the flagship QWERTY smartphone dubbed as Passport in India on Monday, 29 September.
As the name suggests, the new BlackBerry phone flaunts a rectangular body similar to a Passport ID and feature a 4.5-inch high-resolution 1,440x1,440p display with virtual touch-enabled QWERTY keypad.
Under the hood, it packs 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series CPU backed by Adreno 330 graphics engine, BlackBerry v10.3 OS, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 128GB) and a 3,450mAh battery, which can power the phone up to 23 hours of talk time and close to 18.5 days under standby mode.
On the camera front, BlackBerry Passport houses 13.0-megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilisation), 5-element lens with f/2.0 aperture, full HD video recording and 2.1-megapixel snapper on the front.

The company has reportedly said the BlackBerry Passport will be made available for pre-order exclusively at Amazon India (till 10 October) and authorised BlacKBerry stores starting today for ₹49,990.
And with the purchase of the device, the consumers are also expected to get vouchers worth ₹5,000 in Amazon India and 5,000 Jet privilege miles.

The new BlackBerry Passport will be up against the recently launched Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5, Moto X (Gen 2), HTC One M8 and the upcoming Apple iPhone 6 series.
