Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry has officially begun selling the company's first ever Android smartphone Priv.
The company had confirmed the existence of the BlackBerry Priv back in September, but restrained from revealing specifications of the device to keep the buzz alive till the official launch.
Now it has been officially revealed that the new BlackBerry Priv sports a 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED based sliding display with QWERTY physical keyboard.
Under the hood, it runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core, similar to the one we find in the recently released Google-LG Nexus 5X and G4.
It is backed by sumptuous 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and a high capacity 3450 mAh battery, which we believe is enough to run the phone for the whole day.
On photography front, BlackBerry Priv boasts 18MP camera with dual-Led flash on the rear-side and a 2MP front-facing snapper.
BlackBerry Priv release and price details:
The company has confirmed that the new BlackBerry Priv can be pre-booked in USA for $699 (around Rs. 43,450) and the delivery of device will commence on 6 November.
BlackBerry Priv can also be booked in Canada and UK for $899 CDN (around Rs. 44,404) and £559 (around Rs.55, 708) respectively, said the company.
