While the industry is celebrating the success of Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman, a numerous film makers managed to steal the spotlight from the DC movie towards their upcoming projects.
A number of new movie trailers made their way online this week. And there was an almost perfect balance between animated and non-animated movie trailers.
This week saw numerous most-anticipated trailers releasing online, the biggest surprise coming from Black Panther. The Marvel movie made its way over the weekend and has got fans excited. The epic trailer features Chadwick Boseman in the title role and Ryan Coogler directorial shows the world the fictional African nation and Wakanda, the most technologically advanced city in MCU now.
Tom Cruise and Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman were in spotlight for American Made. Spinning the tale of an American pilot who ferried drugs for CIA and Pablo Escobar, American Made is based on true events.
Other trailers that released this week include Baby Driver, War for the Planet of the Apes, Blind, Professor Marston and the Wander Woman, First Kill and Kidnap.
There are numerous animated movies releasing in 2017. Disney is having a successful year with Beauty and the Beast finding a place among the top ten grossing movies of all time. The studio returns with Pixar with the first trailer of Coco. Telling the tale of a boy who mistakenly reaches afterlife while he is alive sees Gael Garcia Bernal, Benjamin Bratt and Renee Victor behind the mic voicing the characters.
Apart from Coco, Cars 3 also crashed into the week with its new trailer. The third movie from the Cars franchise, the film needs no introduction.
