Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover tied the knot in Bengali style on April 30 in Mumbai. Several Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Amitabh Bachchan with his family attended the wedding reception, which was held the same day after the main ceremony.
Big B arrived with Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek to bless the newlywed couple, and yet again another Bollywood event witnessed Salman and Aishwarya under one roof. Though the wedding ceremony was a private event, several bigwigs from the film fraternity graced the reception.
Bipasha and Karan looked stunning in their wedding attires, in which Bipasha didn't go for a typical Bengali bridal outfit. Instead of a Banarasi saree, she chose to wear a red Sabyasachi lehenga, paired with kundan jewellery, while Karan was in white kurta-dhoti. From Karan wearing topor to shubho-drishti, the wedding was held in traditional Bengali style.
After the Bollywood couple made it official, Bipasha and Karan quickly changed their outfits for the post-wedding party. Bipasha switched to another Sabyasachi outfit, while Karan was again in white. The Bong beauty wore a gold long anarkali paired with a layered emerald-and-gold necklace and shakha pola (traditional Bengali bangles). The couple cut a cake and Karan showed his singing talent as he performed for his ladylove at the wedding reception.
Though this is Karan's third marriage and Bipasha's first, the couple didn't seem to have a private ceremony, as was expected. SRK, Salman, Big B, Aishwarya, Abhay Deol, Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta, Madhur Bhandarkar, Drashti Dhami, Riteish Dekhmukh and Genelia D'Souza attended the reception, while Sonam, R Madhavan, Ranbir were snapped during the wedding ceremony.
