Actress Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have made it official. The couple tied the knot in a Bengali style in Mumbai on Saturday evening.
The wedding was a private affair with only close friends and family of both the actors attending it. Bipasha and Karan's marriage was a three-day affair starting with mehendi and sangeet ceremonies.
Several Bollywood celebrities including Bipasha's ex-boyfriend Dino Morea, Tabu, Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, designer Rocky S, R Madhavan along with his wife and hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani attending it. However, Bipasha's close friend Shilpa Shetty, who attended the mehendi ceremony, had to skip the wedding ceremony due to prior commitments.
Bipasha looked gorgeous as a Bengali bride, however, she didn't go with the traditional Bengali bridal red-and- white saree for the main ceremony. She looked beautiful in red and golden lehenga designed by Sabyasachi paired with kundan jewellery and a mukut, a conical headgear traditionally worn by brides.
On the other hand, Karan made a smashing entry at the venue in a segway amid band-baaja celebration in a white sherwani.
The wedding, which took place in typically Bengali style, will be followed by a white-themed reception. Several Bollywood celebrities and television actors are expected to attend the reception in Mumbai.
Karan and Bipasha started dating while shooting for the horror film "Alone." This is Bipasha's first marriage, while Karan's third marriage. He recently got divorced from TV actress Jennifer Winget. He was previously married to TV actress Shraddha Nigam.
