More than 160 films released in the Telugu film industry this year. Some of the films starring big actors earned big bucks at the box office, while some other much-awaited films failed to set the cash registers ringing.

Interestingly, a few small budget films which had good content also clicked at the box office. Also, some of dubbed films managed to impress the Telugu audience.

From "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" to "Attarintiki Daredi", check out the biggest Telugu hits of 2013

Attarintiki Daredi

Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" is the biggest Telugu hit of 2013. The film's worldwide share is over ₹74 crore and is still being screened in a few theatres. "Attanrintiki Daredi" is all set to complete 100-day theatrical run in Andhra Pradesh next week.

With the success of "Attarintiki Daredi", Pawan Kalyan proved that he is the king of box office. The actor also achieved a rare feat of having two blockbusters in consecutive years - "Gabbar Singh" 2012 and "Attarintiki Daredi" in 2013.

Baadshah

Jr NTR's "Baadshah", which released in April, did fantastic business at the box office. The film reportedly earned over ₹46 crore (share) worldwide.

For the first time, Jr NTR teamed up with director Sreenu Vaitla, whose 2011-release "Dookudu" was a big hit at the box office. Jr NTR had three back-to-back flops prior to "Baadshah." However, the action entertainer revived the slugging career of Jr NTR.

He was next seen in "Ramayya Vastavayya", directed by Harish Shankar of "Gabbar Singh" fame. But the film failed to impress the audience.

Mirchi

"Mirchi" is the directorial debut of Koratala Siva, and stars Prabhas and, Anushka Shetty in lead roles. The film was released in February and turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2013.

"Mirchi" earned a total worldwide share of ₹47.45 crore.

Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu

Mahesh Babu-Venkatesh starrer "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirmialle Chettu" (SVSC) performed well not just in India but also in international markets.

The family entertainer reportedly earned a worldwide share of around ₹51 crore at the box office, according to Andhraboxoffice.

Despite clashing with Ram Charan's "Naayak", the Mahesh Babu-starrer performed well and crossed the ₹50 crore mark in the worldwide share.

Naayak

Ram Charan's "Naayak" released in January this year and did good business at the box office.

"Naayak" earned over ₹46 crore in worldwide share at the box office.

The action flick had Ram Charan appearing in a dual role. The actor's performance, as well as his dancing skills, won him accolades.

"Naayak" was Ram Charan's first release of 2013 and the actor had another release - "Thoofan" ("Zanjeer") - in September. However, both the Tamil and Telugu versions failed to impress the audience.

The actor's new Telugu film - "Yevadu" - was expected to hit screens this year. However, the film has been delayed multiple times and is finally set to release in January 2014.

Apart from these films, Nithiin's "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" and Ravi Teja's "Balupu" also turned out to be big hits. Small budget films, including "Swamy Ra Ra", "Prema Katha Chitram" and "Venkatadri Express", have also performed well at the box office.

Films such as "Tadakha", "Saahasam", "Romance", "Anthaku Mundu Aa Tharvatha" and "Potugadu" have done average or above-average business, according to Andhraboxoffice.

The dubbed versions of other-language films, including "Vishwaroopam", "Singam 2", "Dhoom 3" and "Krrish 3", have performed decently.

Unfortunately, a few films starring big actors failed to click at the box office. Films such as "Ramayya Vastavayya", "Thoofan", "Bhai", "Masala" and "Shadow" had popular actors in lead roles. However, their presence alone could not save the films.
