Google unveiled its LG Nexus 5X earlier this week after months of speculation but fans and users of the original Nexus 5 could be upset for the simple reason that it came without rectifying two of the most disappointing features of the original Nexus 5.
Two biggest disappointments of Google Nexus 5X:
The LG Nexus 5 successor came with several feature upgrades but fans and prospective buyers who have been waiting for its release will be disappointed with internal storage. It has a 16 GB and 32 GB variants but that's just not enough for most people. It would have been great if Google introduced a microSD card slot.
Another feature that will disappoint Nexus fans is battery. New operating system Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to increase the battery life of devices that run on it but a 2,700 mAh battery is too small.
Will Nexus 6P kill Nexus 5X?
If there is one device that will kill the Nexus 5X in the market, it will be Huawei Nexus 6P. Apple's iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus share similar features except their screen size but it's not the case with Google's devices. The Nexus 6P not only has a bigger screen but also much superior features than its sibling.
Yes, the Nexus 6P is priced much higher than the Nexus 5X but no gadget lover can ignore its superior specifications either. The fact is it has a 518 ppi screen resolution compared to 423 ppi seen in its smaller sibling. It also has better processor, memory, camera and battery.
Considering wide gap between the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X in regard to specifications, there are chances of the former killing the latter in the market.
