Bigg Boss Telugu 2 has witnessed a decent jump in its TRP ratings in week 28 of 2018. The Nani-hosted reality show has apparently helped Star Maa lead the list of top five popular Telugu TV channels.
Star Maa has left no stone unturned to make the season 2 of Bigg Boss Telugu bigger success than the season 1. This season failed to beat the opening week record of the previous season. Many blamed it upon host Nani, who was criticised over his host skills in the first week. He was also trolled for the same.
But Nani overcame his shortcomings and showed tremendous growth in his performance. The viewers slowly started falling in love with the way he cracks jokes and teases the housemates. He has definitely boosted the viewership of Bigg Boss Telugu 2 with its ratings jumping from 6.1 to 6.5 TRPs in the 28th week.
Vamsi Kaka, a PRO and observer of happenings in the Telugu states, tweeted, "Star Maa No.1 with 862 GRP, growth of 54 points over last week. Highest ever GRPs in the History of Maa BIGG BOSS has improved from 6.1 to 6.5 TVR (Sat 8, Sun 9.8, M-F 5.6) @StarMaa @RaghuStarMaa."
Star Maa serials like Karthika Deepam, Kumkuma Puvvu and Koyilamma ranked first, second and fourth with 7,242,000, 6,443,000 and 5,908,000 impressions, respectively. With this, the TV channel has registered 534,453,000 impressions and has been ranked as the top Telugu channel of the 28th week, according to Barc India.
Star Maa has planned to increase the viewership of Bigg Boss Telugu 2 further in the coming days. The channel is including exciting tasks for the housemates and also bringing in some popular faces. Today, anchor Pradeep Machineni, who hosted Dhee 10, is making his entry into the house as a wildcard and the channel has confirmed his entry, by sharing a promo on its Twitter handle.
