The July 31 episode of Bigg Boss Malayalam began with a song in the morning, and all the contestants started dancing with joy. Anoop Chandran soon came in the attire of a girl, and he along with Suresh, danced in the most elegant manner. Pearle Maaney also joined the party and started singing. Later, Aditi informed everyone that it was her mother's birthday, and she conveyed wishes to her.
After sometime, Bigg Boss gave the contestants the first luxury task of the week. The task was to test the strength of the contestants and to win in this effort, the contestants need to carry dumbbell bags for a specific time period as instructed by Bigg Boss. Basheer Bashi was the first to participate in the task. He carried dumbbell for more than eight minutes and successfully gained the qualification to compete in the captaincy election. The team also gained 200 points for Basheer's effort.
Later, Archana Suseelan also completed the task. Later Srinish was asked to carry 86 kilograms for 11 minutes. But during the task, Srinish asked to remove one dumbbell and a bag which made the team lose 750 points. However, with a less weight, Srinish completed the task, and the total points gained by the team became 1650.
Anoop Chandran started imitating Shiyas, and everybody lauded the 'Classmates' actor for his efforts.
The second luxury task of the week was to conduct an award ceremony. During the ceremony, each contestant will be awarded a nickname. Pearle was selected by Big Boss as the host of the awards night. Transsexual actress Anjali Ameer was given the nickname 'Donkey' by the fellow contestants. Anjali Ameer told everyone that she had expected this.
The nickname 'Idiot' was given to Shiyas, while Sabumon got three nicknames including 'Fox'. Shockingly, the nickname 'Traitor' was given to Diya Sana. When her name was announced as the traitor, the disappointment was clearly visible in the face of the social activist.
The nickname Sasi was given to Pearle and Suresh, and finally, the episode came to an end.
