"Bigg Boss 9" ex-contestant and popular TV actor Gautam Gulati is all set to make his Bollywood debut in Emraan Hashmi starrer "Azhar".
It has been reported that Gautam Gulati will play the role of former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri in the biopic on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.
"Bigg Boss 8" winner, Gautam Gulati confirmed the news. "Yes, I am doing the film. But I am not allowed to speak anything. I can't talk about the project in detail," Gautam told PTI.
Emraan Hashmi will be seen playing the lead role of Azharuddin in the biopic, which is being directed by Tony D'Souza. Reports suggest that Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri will be seen portraying the roles of Azharuddin's two wives.
The first look of the film was released some time back and it received good response. "Azhar" will be released on 13 May next year.
Gautam rose to fame after he won "Bigg Boss 8" and it was expected that the actor will find a place in "Bigg Boss 9" too, as winners of previous seasons were rumoured to be participating in the show this season also. However, that turned out to be false as all contestants are new in the latest season.
