Wrestler and "Bigg Boss 7" contestant Sangram Singh is all set to get engaged to actress and long-time girlfriend Payal Rohatgi.
Payal and Sangram, who have been in a live-in relationship for over two years, will get engaged on 27 February on the occasion of the Hindu festival of Maha Shivratri, reported Times of India.
Confirming the report, the actress said: "...the engagement came as a huge surprise. I am yet to do the shopping! We are in Ahmedabad to help my father out with a property deal... and it was decided that we get engaged on this very trip!"
The couple is expected to tie the knot in November.
Payal and Sangram first met in the reality show "Survivor India" (season 1) in 2011 and their relationship blossomed from there on.
In the seventh season of "Bigg Boss", the wrestler gained prominence with his diplomatic presence in the show, while his relationship with Payal also grabbed the spotlight. Incidentally, Payal was also a part of the controversial reality show in its second season (2008).
The actress was previously understood to be in a relationship with actor Rahul Mahajan, who was her co-contestant in the show.
Payal was recently offered an international project with a French director, who spotted her at the New Year performance in Dubai. But the "36 China Town" actress refused the offer, since it involved devoting two years to the film.
Going by the recent development, it appears the actress' refusal to the offer was mostly based on her personal life, rather than her career front.
