Keith Sequeira made an emergency exit from the "Bigg Boss 9" house due to some family problem. On Friday evening, Keith got a message from Bigg Boss that there was an emergency and his family members needed him.
However, it has now been revealed that the Keith's brother Ian Sequeira has passed away.
"In light of the untimely passing of Keith's beloved younger brother, the Sequeira family requests everyone to grant them privacy to mourn their extreme loss. Ian Sequeira was a beacon of light in their lives and was deeply loved by his family and friends. The Sequeira family graciously accepts all condolences in these testing times," an official statement read.
Keith is likely to return to the show, but it is not clear when he will resume shooting for "Bigg Boss 9".
Keith's girlfriend Rochelle Maria Rao was steady and strong when he left the house. Keith was informed about the sad news once he came out of the house and the actor left for Delhi immediately to be with his family.
"Bigg Boss" witnessed a similar situation during the sixth season of the reality show. Model and actress Karishma Kotak's father passed away when she was inside the "Bigg Boss 6" house.
She had to leave the show mid-day, but the actress came back after a few days.
In 2006, actor Salil Ankola was asked to leave the show mid-way due to legal trouble, after which actor Deepak Tijori replaced him on the show.
