Imam Siddique has certainly increased the entertainment bar with his entry in "Bigg Boss 9", but he has been paid a whopping amount to do that.
Fashion stylist Siddique has been brought to "Bigg Boss 9" to decide the fate of the contestants and select one of the contestants for the finale. The contestant selected by Imam will be the second finalist after Prince Narula.
But that is not all, Imam's entry will also increase the TRP, which the show makers are in need of. For that Imam has reportedly charged a bomb.
"Imam is charging a bomb to be on the show. He is very aware of the fact that the makers are in deep trouble for the low TAM ratings this year. He is getting almost Rs 1 crore to do what he's expected to do this entire week," a source told DNA.
Earlier, there were rumours that "Dhoom" actress Rimi Sen, who was one of the laziest contestants this year, was paid Rs 2 crore for her stint. But the actress failed to entertain viewers till the time she was in the house. A source close to Imam told the daily that Imam's fee is justified as he doing what he is expected to do – increase the TRP.
"He deserves the amount he's charging. If they can pay Rimi Sen Rs 2 crore for no reason, then Imam's remuneration seems justified. The ratings of the show this week will be higher than what it has been the entire season," the source told DNA.
Whether Imam's fee is justified or not, one thing for sure is that he has been successful in raising the TRP of the show with his eccentric temperament. He entered the house on Tuesday and since then is leaving no stone unturned to make contestants' lives hell.
