"Bigg Boss 9" ex-contestant Rimi Sen was undoubtedly the laziest contestant in the history of the show.
The Bollywood actress' disinterest in the tasks and continuous cribbing about wanting to go home, had irked not just the contestants but viewers and host Salman Khan as well. Calling her an unfair contestant, Salman had even lashed out at her for disrespecting the show instead of being grateful.
Despite such laid back attitude, Rimi was saved from elimination every week. At one point, Bigg Boss had even left the door of the house open, giving her an opportunity to leave the show. But to everyone's surprise, Rimi didn't use the opportunity.
There were reports earlier that the "Dhoom" actress was paid Rs 2 crore to participate in the show.
While it's still not known if the actress was paid the huge amount or not, there seems to be another angle to Rimi's long stay inside the house.
According to a Bollywood Life report, an ex-contestant spilled the beans that Rimi used a certain clause of her contract for her own benefit.
Apparently, one of the clauses of the contract says "minimum guarantee", where a contestant will be safe from elimination for a certain period of time. The duration of safeguarding the particular contestant from elimination, is decided based on his/her popularity.
Since Rimi was the only Bollywood star inside the show, makers believed that she will provide good content and pull viewership.
Knowing that she will not get evicted for the certain period of time mentioned in her contract, Rimi misused the clause to her advantage.
Meanwhile, Prince Narula has become the first contestant to enter "Bigg Boss 9" finale. Besides Prince, Keith Sequeira, Rochelle Rao, Rishabh Sinha, Priya Malik and Mandana Karimi are in the race to win the trophy.
