Filmmaker Farah Khan, who hosted the extended version of "Bigg Boss 8", now wants to host the upcoming season of the reality show, according to reports.
Farah surprised everyone when she replaced Salman Khan as the host of "Bigg Boss Halla Bol". But it looks like Farah wants to be associated with "Bigg Boss 9", DNA reported.
According to reports, the "Happy New Year" director was overheard telling a friend that she is interested in hosting "Bigg Boss 9" and she is hoping that Colors TV will sign her.
She also said that the TRP of the extended series, which aired for a month, was better than the "Bigg Boss 8" hosted by Salman.
"Farah also said that the TRPs of Halla Bol this year were much better than that of Bigg Boss 8," a source told DNA.
Based on the TRP report, she is hoping for Colors to sign her as the "Bigg Boss 9" host. But reports are also doing the rounds that Salman has agreed to host the ninth season of the controversial reality show.
Twitter handle BiggBoss8Latest, which provided inside information of the last season, tweeted that Salman will return as the host this season.
"Salman Khan has agreed to host bigg boss season 9. Contestants will be selected from April 2015," BiggBoss8Latest tweeted.
However, there has been no official confirmation either from the channel or from Salman.
Talking about Farah, the filmmaker is currently hosting a cookery show "Farah Ki Daawat", which will be aired on Colors TV. Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Gautam Gulati, Malaika Arora Khan, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Genelia D'Souza, Boman Irani, Sajid Khan and other celebrities will appear as a guest on the show.
