Salman Khan's "Bigg Boss 9" might just be a reality show, but not for the fans of celebrity contestants.
Apparently, a fan of television actress Digangana Suryavanshi attempted to commit suicide after she was evicted by other contestants from "Bigg Boss 9" house on Monday.
A Bangladeshi fan of Digangana was upset with her eviction news. She slit her wrists because she believed it was unfair to evict Digangana based only on contestants' votes and not consider audiences' votes.
"She is in the hospital right now and I have been trying to get in touch with her family to know how she's doing. She had been writing on social media how she is unhappy with my eviction and thinks it was unfair that not the audience, but the housemates have voted me out. It was through a direct message on Twitter that I got to know that she has actually taken this step," Digangana told Miss Malini.
Digangana, who is also fondly called Digi, asked her fans to pray for Aaliya Khan, who is battling for life.
"It's just a game! Things happen and change with each passing minute. I am very proud that I have come out of the house with my dignity intact and I am very proud of my fans who have constantly supported me. Please don't let things like these get on your nerves," she told the entertainment portal.
Digangana, who shot to fame with "Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera", is the youngest contestant ever to participate in the reality show. Since the first episode of "Bigg Boss 9", she remained in danger zone, but survived in the house for more than 50 days because of audiences' votes.
This week also she was nominated for elimination along with Suyyash Rai. But this time the contestant was eliminated based on other housemates' votes and they saved Suyyash from eviction.
