After Divyanka Tripathi's ex-boyfriend Ssharad Malhotra bagged the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's new show "Kasam," buzz is that Yuvika Choudhary of "Bigg Boss 9" fame has been roped in to play the female lead.
Although the deal between Yuvika and the makers is yet to be sealed, a Telly Chakkar report states that the actress is likely to join the team and will be seen romancing Ssharad in the daily soap.
"With the show all set to roll out soon, the production team has finalised Yuvika opposite Ssharad. Though the deal is yet to be signed, the charming beauty will in most probability come on board," a source told the web-portal.
Interestingly, although the "Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap" actor and Yuvika will be paired for the first time in a daily soap, both the actors were part of the first season of reality show "Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj".
"Kasam" will see Ssharad's character as a Casanova during the initial episodes, according to The Times of India. He will play the role of a rich Canada-return business man who falls in love with a girl but soon loses her in a tragic incident, which changes his views on love and relationship.
"Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show on Colors will be based on Punjabi backdrop. The story will revolve around the filthy rich 'Canada return' Bedi family. Their elder son falls in love with a girl but soon tragedy strikes his love life, which makes him lose faith in love," India-Forums quoted a source as saying.
