Of late, reports have been doing the rounds that "Bigg Boss 9" contestant Rimi Sen has been paid a whopping Rs 2 crore as a signing amount to participate in the show.
The huge amount has raised quite a few eyebrows as Rimi is not interested in the show since the very first day and that the amount is higher than the winning amount (Rs 50 lakh).
Further, rumour has it that the actress has been charging an additional amount of around Rs 5 lakh on a weekly basis.
However, "Bigg Boss 8" winner Gautam Gulati refused to agree with the rumour of Rimi being paid a huge amount. Talking about the same, the hunk told Bollywood Life that although he had received a good sum of money during his stay inside the house, he doesn't think that the makers would pay Rs 2 crore to any contestant.
"See I had got a good amount. Winning amount was good and even what they offered me while I was in the house was decent. But Rs 2 crore is way too much! I don't think the show will pay so much for any contestant. There is definitely some kind of misunderstanding. They would rather get someone from foreign country if they really had to pay such big amount! So I don't think there is any truth in Rimi being paid Rs 2 crore!" Gautam told the entertainment portal.
Meanwhile, in the last episode of "Bigg Boss 9", as Rimi's performance in the luxury budget task was disappointing, Bigg Boss announced that the housemates will be deprived of the week's luxury budget. This irked the housemates, who performed the task dedicatedly for two days.
