That "Bigg Boss 9" is a huge platform for Bollywood celebs to promote their films is no big news.
Recently, there were speculations that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan would be appear in the show to promote his upcoming film "Wazir". There was also buzz that the episode in which Bachchan Sr shared screen space with Salman would be aired on 9 January.
However, the "Piku" actor has clarified on Twitter that the news is false, and that he will not promote "Wazir" on Salman Khan's show. "Wazir" also has Farhan Akhtar in lead roles and is set to release on 8 January.
Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Akshay Kumar will co-host one of the episodes of "Bigg Boss 9" with Salman.
Apparently, the "Gabbar is Back" actor will promote his upcoming flick "Airlift", and will be seen grilling the contestants along with the "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" star. "Airlift" also has Nimrat Kaur in the lead role, and is releasing on 22 January.
Several Bollywood stars, including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Zarine Khan, Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla, have promoted their films in Salman Khan's "Bigg Boss 9".
