"Bigg Boss 9" will soon witness action superstar Akshay Kumar in the house along with host Salman Khan.
"Bigg Boss 9" has become a potent platform for film promotions and Akshay will appear on the show to promote his upcoming movie "Airlift".
Trade analyst Girish Johar took to Twitter and said that Akshay Kumar will visit "Bigg Boss 9" house to promote "Airlift".
"@akshaykumar to visit #BiggBoss9 sets with @BeingSalmanKhan #Airlift (sic)," tweeted Johar.
Bombay Times Managing Editor Priya Gupta also said the same on Twitter.
Salman's "Bigg Boss 9" has been used by other stars too for movie promotions. Earlier, Deepika Padukone appeared on the show to promote "Tamasha".
The actress had a fun time on the show, chit-chatting and playing games with the contestants.
She was also seen sharing the stage with Salman and jokingly proposing the superstar.
Most recently, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon appeared on the show for the promotions of "Dilwale". Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are also likely to promote the movie on the same platform.
Akshay's "Airlift" is based on the real-life incident of India's biggest human evacuation mission in Kuwait during the Gulf War.
Akshay plays the lead role of Kuwait based Indian businessman Ranjit Katyal and Nimrat Kaur will play the character of his wife Amrita Katyal. The film will hit screens on 22 January.
