Gautam Gulati has walked away with the winner's trophy at the grand finale of "Bigg Boss 8" and many viewers congratulated him on Twitter and said that he deserved the title. But some audience feel that it was all fixed at the beginning of the show.
There is no doubt that Gautam Gulati was one of the most popular contestants in the "Bigg Boss 8" house. His fan-following has increased a lot after he joined the show. Though many call it the work of his PR, one cannot deny the fact that he has become closer to people's hearts with his attitude of a happy-go-lucky boy in the house.
Right from the beginning of season 8, it has been said and written that Salman Khan was biased towards some contestants. Especially, after the photo featuring Gautam with Salman, it was said that the actor-turned host favoured Gautam as he shared good rapport with him before entering the house.
On some occasion, many viewers were upset with ex-"Bigg Boss 8" host Salman Khan as he did not criticise Gautam, when the latter committed mistakes inside the house. Even "Bigg Boss Halla Bol" host Farah Khan had a soft corner for Gautam and it was clearly visible when she addressed him as 'Gullu'.
On the other hand, Gautam's PR kept wake up round the clock and made sure the right buzz for him in the social media – Twitter, Facebook and other sites. Meanwhile, he also garnered more number of fans for him and organised them into a group, which helped him to get more number of votes every weekend during the eviction.
Along with Gautam Gulati, Karishma Tanna, Pritam Singh, Ali Quli Mirza and Dimpy Mahajan were among the finalists in the grand finale of Bigg Boss 8. At the last moment, Ali and Dimpy were evicted, while Pritam quit the show and preferred to walk away with ₹25 lakh cash prize.
Among the two remaining contestants, Karishma and Gautam, the latter was announced as the winner of season 8.
