Vikram's "I", said to be the biggest movie of India in 2014, is getting ready for the promotions on a larger scale. The latest development in its marketing strategy is that the flick is likely to be promoted in popular Hindi reality show "Bigg Boss 8" hosted by Salman Khan.
It does not come as a surprise as "I" will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Hence, the promotions of the movie in "Bigg Boss 8" house will be justified. The makers of "I" have met Salman Khan recently and expressed their wish to promote the movie in his show, according to the latest buzz in movie circles.
It is not clear whether "I" makers have sealed the deal or not; industry insiders believe if Aascar Ravichandran can pull off the deal, the multi-lingual movie will get huge publicity across the nation. Especially, it will help the film reach the Hindi speaking audience.
The other interesting part of the story is that actor Upen Patel, who is one of the contestants in ongoing "Bigg Boss show, has worked in the movie.
"I" is made with the budget of ₹100 crore. In order to make profit, the movie should not only perform in Tamil but also in Hindi and Telugu. Hence, the makers are trying their best to promote the film in every possible way.
In the mean time, the makers are getting ready for the audio launch function of its Telugu version. It is likely to happen soon, followed by the music launch of its Hindi version. Both the events will be graced by big names from the respective industries. It may be recalled that Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger had launched the music of the Tamil version of the music.
In the film, Vikram will be seen in dual roles. Amy Jackson plays the female lead in "I"directed by Shankar. The technical team includes AR Rahman for music, PC Sreeram for cinematography and Anthony for editing.
