In a surprising turn of events, evicted contestant Upen Patel is set to return to "Bigg Boss 8".
Reports suggest that the "36 China Town" actor requested the makers for another chance. "It feels great to go into the house again. Now, I will try my best to win the show," The Times of India quoted him as saying.
While Karishma Tanna might be the happiest on seeing her friend re-enter the house, viewers aren't loving this move one bit. From calling the decision unfair to tagging Upen as a big bore, people expressed their views on Twitter.
Here are some of the tweets:
Masher: @catchicksmeow that means #BB8 #BiggBoss8 is becoming boring day by day - why Upen Patel again?? kuch to raham karo ham per
Deepveer: @BiggBoss @TheFarahKhan its completely unfair bringing upen patel back. Not accepted.
Beingmeghna: What's wrong with u @BiggBoss y upen Patel re enter in #BB8.uwant2 give karishmas footage. @ColorsTV winner isour gullu
Yash Gupta: Upen Patel is re entering the house not ajaz not imam...Bigg boss your game is going worst day by day .. Bloody team
The model-turned-actor's stint in the house has been tumultuous, to say the least. He became an object of scorn for being with the ladies all the time and was later reprimanded by Salman Khan for adding a violent dimension to his personality.
But Upen has a completely different reason for everything. "I am a very emotional person. Imagine losing your friends one after the other. Everybody reaches a breaking point. When I was nice, people called me names. When I became like one of them, they said that they prefer the previous Upen. They stepped back and stopped attacking me once I showed them that side," he told TOI.
The actor shares a good rapport and an interesting friendship with Karishma. At the "Finale ka Twist" episode, he was rooting for the "Grand Masti" actress, adding that she deserved to lift the coveted trophy.
"Karishma and I supported each other. Given the situation inside the house, you grow close to a few people. Friendship is the foundation of all relationships," he said.
